Minutewomen Knock Off Northeastern, 158-142

AMHERST, Mass. - The women's swimming and diving team defeated Northeastern, on Saturday, 158-142. It is the first time in the last 10 head-to-head matchups that the Minutewomen knocked off the Huskies.
Zoe Judd led the great all-around team effort with three individual wins. She was able to take first in 50-, 100- and 200-yard freestyle events with times of 24.92, 53.36 and 1:54.76. Amina Meho and Anna Cavanaugh came in second and third, behind Judd, in the 100 free. The 400-yard freestyle relay team of Judd, Meho, Cavanaugh and Cassie Sosnovich were able to capture first with a time of 3:34.59.
Molly Smyth and Katie Orr went one-two in the 1000-yard freestyle, recording times of 10:25.23 and 10:41.28, respectively. Smyth also took first in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:08.07. Cavanaugh came in behind her in second with a time of 5:09.26.
On the boards Michaela Butler once again swept winning the three- and one-meter dives with scores of 267.97 and 277.27. Molly Elkins and Rachel Dushman came in second and third, respectively, in the one-meter with scores of 250.42 and 222.89.
The Minutwoemen now have a month of training leading up the annual training trip in San Juan, Puerto Rico on January 5. They return to action on the main land on January 11 when they head to Kingston, R.I. for the Rhode Island Invitational.
