AMHERST, Mass. - The UMass men's swim head coach Russ Yarworth is happy to announce his first two signees to the class of 2017. The Minutemen will welcome Ben Sloan and Thomas Brennan, both of whom signed their National Letters of Intent last week.
Yarworth is excited for these two to join the team in the fall saying, "Ben and Tommy will fill a crucial role or us next year as our top two sprint butterfliers (Pete Sacco and Eric Zeimetz) are graduating." He continues, "Ben has excellent underwater skill and Tommy brings superb upper body strength to the pool."

On Brennan, Yarworth said, "Tommy rekindles our connection with Loyola Blakefield as we've had some of our most talented swimmers over the past 15 years (BJ Brannan, Rob Bellamy, Matt Andrews, Dylan Smith) come from that squad. Loyola Head Coach Keith Schertle does a great job preparing his athletes for college swimming."
