AMHERST, Mass. - The UMass men's swimming and diving team sit in second place at the Terrier Invitational behind the host Boston University. The Minutemen remain ahead of Boston College, Bryant and Holy Cross.

Junior Chris Inglis picked up the only first-place finish for the Minutemen in the 200-yard freestyle touching the wall with a time of 1:39.29. Brian Stiles and Troy Nichols rounded out the top-eight for the men. Stiles took fourth with a time of 1:41.73, while Nichols finished seventh with a time of 1:43.34.

The tandem of Colin Mulcahy and Hao Luong took second and third, respectively, in the 100-yard backstroke. Mulcahy finished with a time of 50.62, while Luong touched with a time of 51.34. Luong also notched a seventh-place finish in the 100-yard with a time of 51.48.

Freshman Evan Sholudko captured fourth in the 400 IM for the Minutemen, while Michael Glenn finished fifth and Ryan Bobianski finished seveth.

The men will be back in action tomorrow morning with the prelims beginning at 10 a.m., and the finals starting up at 6 p.m.
