Lightweight Four Finishes In Seventh At Head Of The Charles

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The UMass rowing team finished competition at the Head of the Charles Regatta on Sunday. Three Minutewomen boats were entered on Day two of racing into the championship eight, lightweight four, and championship four events.

UMass did well in the lightweight four, taking seventh place overall with a time of 20:10.28. The lineup for the boat consisted of Lindsey McClure (coxswain), Taryn Wilson, Allanah Rubi-Mooney, Nicole Juul-Hindsgaul, and Christine Hurley.

The championship four finished in 15th place with a time of 20:52.99. Tanya Smith coxed the boat and Krysten Menks, Hannah Monahan, Corinne Kazmierczak, and Adrienne Breef-Pilz manned the oars.

UMass couldn't put it together in the championship eight competition and finished in 39th place with a time of 19:29.90. The boat was lead by coxswain Heather Pekarovich.

Next weekend the Minutewomen will take on the Head of the Fish in Saratoga, N.Y.
