Araujo, McGowan Compete At USATF Junior Nationals

EUGENE, Ore. - Two members of the UMass men's track and field program competed at the 2011 USA Junior Outdoor Track & Field Championships this past weekend on the campus of the University of Oregon. Aaron Araujo ran the 400m hurdles on Friday, while Patrick McGowan was in action in the 5000m on Saturday.

Araujo finished 15th of 22 in the 400m hurdles preliminary, recording a time of 54.61 to place fourth in his heat.

McGowan took 13th out of 46 competitors in the 5000m, clocking in at 14:48.08.
