BROOKLINE, Mass. - UMass baseball made the trip to Northeastern, but the squads were unable to play more than 2.2 innings before the game was called due to rain. The Minutemen had just scored three times in the top of the third to take a 3-2 lead when the contest ended. However, the game will not count, since the five-inning minimum was not reached.
This weekend UMass will travel to Rhode Island for a three-game Atlantic 10 series against the Rams in Kingston. The opener between the squads is scheduled for a 3:30 p.m. start on Friday, May 6, and will air on WMUA 91.1 FM.
