PRINCETON, N.J. - The split between two Minutemen traveling the state of Connecticut, while the remainder of the team headed to the IC4A Championships, provided a set of solid performances for the men's track and field team on Friday. The remainder of the NEC Meet concludes on Saturday, while the IC4A Championships still has two days to go in the forms of Saturday and Sunday, at Weaver Stadium in Princeton, N.J. The New England Championships are being held at Southern Connecticut State University.

Sean Duncan started the day off at the IC4A Meet in the 3000 meter steeplechase, as the senior from Gardner, Mass. placed a respectable seventh finishing in 9:02.45. Following Duncan were brothers Kevin and David Johnson in the 10,000 meter run.
