Day One Action Concludes At Giegengack Invite

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The UMass men's track and field team concluded day one-of-two at the Giegengack Inivtational on Friday evening. The majority of the Minutemen will be in action on Saturday, when action commences at 9:30 am at the Cox Cage in the Constitution State.
On day one, Kevin Spieler continued to be strong in the throwing events, as the senior placed fifth in the weight throw with a mark of 54-1.25.
The leaping duo of Zachary Koncki and Daniel Wu proved successful again in the long jump as the two competitors placed third and fourth respectively with marks of 22-4.50 and 22-3.50.
A distance medley relay squad was also in action, along with Quinn Ryder in the 200 meter dash and Mark Hewitt in the long jump.
