HANOVER, N.H. - The UMass women's tennis team wrapped up the first day of competition at Dartmouth's Big Green Invitational Friday night. Jessica Podlofsky and Chantal Swiszcz led the Minutewomen with one singles wins a piece, while the doubles pairing of Swiszcz and Yuliana Motyl once again had another successful showing.
Podlofsky recorded the team's first win of the day against Rachel Decker-Sadowski of Dartmouth (7-5, 6-4).
Swiszcz and Motyl defeated Yale's Steph Kent and Sarah Guzick by a score of 8-6. Swiszcz also tallied a win in the singles draw, defeating Theresa Smith of Dartmouth, 7-5, 6-2.
The tournament will continue through Saturday, November 5 and will conclude on Sunday, November 6.
