Michael Glenn Named USA Swimming Scholastic All-American

AMHERST, Mass. - UMass freshman Michael Glenn, of the men's swimming and diving team, was named USA Swimming Scholastic All-American. This is the second time the Overland Park native has been selected. He was one of seven swimmers picked out of the Missouri Valley region.

Each year, USA Swimming recognizes its members who excel both in the classroom and in the pool. The Scholastic All-America Team is made up of high school student-athletes who have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher and who have achieved the required time standard in a single event.

To be eligible for this recognition, swimmers must have completed 10th, 11th or 12th grade and must be a USA Swimming member athlete. 1759 men and women made the SAA team for 2009-10. This included 1051 women and 708 men.
