Griffin Set To Play In FCS Senior Scout Bowl

MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. - UMass senior tailback John Griffin will play in the FCS Senior Scout Bowl on Saturday in Middletown, N.Y. The game will air nationally on Fox College Sports (FCS) at 2 p.m. Eighty-six players will compose two teams in a North vs. South format all-star game to be held in in the Metro New York area on December 11, 2010. The selected players will have earned the right to play against their peers in a showcase game for all to recognize their talent.
The Collegiate Development Football League (CDFL) is proud to present the "FCS Senior Scout Bowl." This game will showcase the talent of FCS Division Senior Football players at the conclusion of the 2010 season.
Griffin, who transferred to UMass for his senior season after Northeastern dropped its football program, was a third-team All-CAA selection in 2010. He finished with 843 rushing yards, an average of 76.6 per game and 5.0 per carry. He also scored five touchdowns and caught six passes for 49 yards playing in all 11 games.
