Forbes Starring At Portsmouth Invitational

PORTSMOUTH, Va. - Gary Forbes has been stellar in his first two games at the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament. The UMass All-American had 18 points, nine rebounds and seven assists in his second game for the Norfolk Naval Shipyard on Friday night. In his first game on Wednesday, Forbes has 26 points, seven rebounds and six assists.
In Friday's 94-91 loss to the Tidewater Sealants, Forbes made 7-of-19 from the floor including one 3-pointer as he was his team's leading scorer in 31 minutes. Fordham's Bryant Dunston also had a strong game with 17 points and 12 rebounds for Forbes' squad.
Forbes will play again on Saturday.
