Sowry Announces Her First Field Hockey Class At UMass

AMHERST, Mass. - University of Massachusetts Field Hockey Head Coach Justine Sowry announced the signing of three players to National Letters of Intent to play for the Minutewomen in the fall. The signees are Jaime Bourazeris, a midfielder from New Hyde Park, NY; Katie Kelly, a forward from Dedham, Mass.; and Courtney Mayerick, a defender from Norwalk, Connecticut.
"I would like to welcome my first freshman class to the UMass Field Hockey family," Sowry said.
"I have high hopes for the program and am dedicated to bringing UMass back to a place of national recognition and prominence. Without these athletes, that is not possible. They have all been given an opportunity to be a part of something special and as freshmen entering the collegiate ranks, there is no reason why they can not make significant contributions immediately, both athletically and academically."
