NEIBA Division I All-Star Team Set For Fenway

MEDFORD, Mass. - Twenty-five All-Stars from New England Division I baseball teams were selected by the New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) to play in the 30th annual College Baseball All-Star Game at Fenway Park on Sunday, June 5. They will face a squad filled with Division II-III All-Stars. The game will be played after the Red Sox host the Los Angeles Angels at Fenway, with an approximate starting time of 6:30 pm.
Among the members of the Division I All-Star team are 2005 Big East Player of the Year Jared McGuire of Boston College, Ivy League Player of the Year Matt Kutler from Brown, Ivy League Pitcher of the Year Josh Sowers from Yale, Ivy League Rookie of the Year Steffan Wilson from Harvard, Atlantic-10 Pitcher of the Year Matt Torra from UMass and Northeast Conference Player of the Year Bryan Sabatella from Quinnipiac.
The University Division team consisting of the Division I players has lost two straight games and three of the last four NEIBA All-Star Games, but leads 19-9-1 overall.
