Women's Rowing Finishes Second At Yankee Cup

Kingston, R.I. - The UMass women's rowing team opened the 2005 spring season by finishing second at the Yankee Cup in Kingston, R.I., on Saturday. UConn won the event with 35 points. UMass had 25, followed by Rhode Island with 24 and New Hampshire with 20. UMass won the varsity eight race in a time of 7:06.4. The Minutewomen will race again Sunday in New York against Columbia.
