UMass defenseman Jeff Lang was drafted by the Danbury (Connecticut) Thrashers of the United Hockey League on Tuesday, March 22, 2005 in the leagues annual North American Draft. Lang was selected 9th in the 5th round of the draft.

During the 2004-2005 season, Lang tallied 3 goals and 6 assists for 9 points. He appeared in 37 games. Over his four year career at UMass, he scored 7 goals and had 20 assists for 27 points.

Any player over 19, who played last season in North America is eligible for the United Hockey League's North American Draft.
