UMass Moves Past Syracuse In CRCA Poll

AMHERST, Mass. - The UMass women's rowing team moved up one spot in the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association poll, moving from 19th to 18th, after winning the Atlantic 10 Championship last week.

The Minutewomen, who will race Syracuse and Villanova on Saturday in Syracuse, N.Y., switched spots with the Orangewomen. UMass has 56 points in the poll, compared to Syracuse's 34. Ohio State, California, Princeton, Brown, and Yale are the top five. UMass' only loss of the season came to Brown, with the varsity eight getting nosed out by less than five seconds.
