UMass Women's Rowing Opens Season At Yankee Cup

The UMass Women's Rowing Team opens the 2004 season in Kingston, R.I., at the Yankee Cup on Sunday March 28. The regatta will be held at the Campanella Rowing Center at the University of Rhode Island with the first of eight races beginning at 2 p.m. In addition to Rhode Island, the Minutewomen will be competing against Connecticut and New Hampshire.
Directions to the URI Campanella Rowing Center:
From the North: Take Interstate 95 South to Exit 9 (Route 4 South). Follow Route 4 until it merges and becomes Route 1 South. Continue on Route 1 South to the Route 138 intersection (Mobil station on right). Make a u-turn on to Route 1 North and follow for 7/10ths of a mile. Take right onto Walmsley Lane. Travel downhill, bear left for boathouse entrance.
From the South: Take Interstate 95 North to Exit 3A (Route 138 East). Follow for 14 miles. Make a left on to Route 1 North. Follow for 7/10ths of a mile. Turn right on to Walmsley Lane. Travel downhill, bear left for boathouse entrance.
