Minutewomen Announce Dollar Fan Appreciation Day

AMHERST, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts women's basketball team has announced that it will be holding Dollar Fan Appreciation Day in conjunction with Senior Day activities for the game on Sunday, March 2 against Duquesne at 12:00 p.m. Fans are encouraged to arrive early as Senior Day activities will be starting at 11:45 a.m.
Fans will be able to purchase tickets for one dollar either at the Mullins Center box office or by calling 1-866-UMASS-TIX. Tickets are available in advance or the day of the game. Selected items at the concession stand such as hot dogs, Coca-Cola products and popcorn will also be available for just $1. A few select novelty items will also be sold for $1 at the merchandise stand as well.
After the game, fans are encouraged to stay as the Minutewomen will be available for autographs. There will be plenty of t-shirts and other give-aways throughout the game and three lucky fans will be pulled out of the crowd for a 3-on-3 game against mascots at halftime.
At 12:05 p.m., the Minutewomen will host Duquesne on the Atlantic 10 Television Game of the Week. Fans are encouraged to sit on the bench side and show their support for the Minutewomen as this is their only home televised game this season. UMass is currently 13-13 overall and in a third-place tie in the A-10 East Division.
At 11:45 a.m. Sunday morning, Massachusetts will recognize its seven seniors who will be playing in their final regular season game. They are Jennifer Butler (Brooklyn, N.Y.), Kristin Cannon (Reynoldsburg, Ohio), Siiri Liivandi (Rapla, Estonia), Ebony Pegues (Columbus, Ohio), Stasia Robinson (Keeseville, N.Y.), Nekole Smith (Ann Arbor, Mich.), and Amber Sneed (Cincinnati, Ohio).
