Ryan Zaucha was named A-10 Swimming and Diving Performer of the Week after winning two races against GW.

AMHERST, Mass.--Massachusetts men's senior swimmer Ryan Zaucha (Auburn, Calif.) was named the Atlantic 10 Swimming and Diving Performer of the Week for the week ending Jan.26. Zaucha received the honor after winning two races over the weekend in UMass' 161-96 victory over George Washington.

Zaucha placed first in both the 200-yard backstroke (1:56.83) and the 200-yard individual medley (1:57.11). Zaucha also added a second place finish in the 100-yard backstroke at 56.65 to his list of accomplishments against the Colonials.

The senior currently ranks second in the UMass charts in the 200-yard IM at 1:51.44, and fourth in both the 200-yard backstroke (1:50.88) and the 100-yard backstroke (50.95).

Zaucha and the Minutemen will next compete at Fordham on Feb .1 at 1:00 p.m.
