The quintet represents the 2002 freshman class for Dixon and will increase the Minutewomen roster to 12 players next season.

Gray, a transfer from Thomas College (Maine), will be eligible for the upcoming season. She did not play on her previous college team, but did compete in tournaments.

Knight is ranked among the top 30 juniors players in England. Her game is suited for doubles play and she has represented her native country in under-14 and -18 doubles competitions. She is an all-court player who uses her forehand as a weapon. At Plymstock School she also played ice hockey, volleyball and rounders.

Bartoloni is currently ranked in the New England top 20. She is an all-court player who has competed in the under-18 sectionals and was a finalist in the under-18 New England Open. During the summers, she has spent time participating in doubles tournaments on Cape Cod. At Boston Latin High School she also ran track and skied.

Iwanowicz is predominantly a singles player, but has experience playing in doubles tournaments as well. She was ranked No. 1 in New England in the under-12 and -14 age groups. She is currently ranked No. 1 in South Carolina and 19th in the South.

Thompson has competed in USTA tournaments and is captain of her tennis team at Notre Dame High School. During her junior season, she was voted Most Improved Player and as a senior was selected as the team Most Valuable Player.

Senior Lindsey Gillooly (Stoughton, Mass.) will also be back after redshirting last season due to a knee injury. Also eligible will be Sasha Edelstein (Haifa, Israel). She sat out the 2001-02 season due to NCAA regulations.
