Wednesday's Baseball Game Vs. Maine Rained Out

AMHERST, Mass. - Today's matchup between the visiting Maine Black Bears and the UMass Minutemen has been postponed because of rainy conditions. The Minutemen will be in action again on Friday as they host A-10 rival St. Joseph's in a three-game series with post-season implications. If the Minutemen sweep the Hawks, UMass clinches second place in the A-10 East division and a playoff appearance. If the Minutemen lose any of the three games, Temple still has a chance to take over second place as they take on URI in a three-game set in Kingston, R.I. Friday's doubleheader is slated to begin at noon. Saturday's single nine-inning game will also get underway at noon.
