BOSTON, Mass. -- Senior Chris Arsenault (Peabody, Mass.) and sophomore Ryan Zaucha (Auburn, Calif.) each won three events as the University of Massachusetts men's swimming and diving team defeated Boston University, 173-121 Saturday afternoon. UMass won 10 out of the 16 events and improve to 3-0 on the season.
Arsenault won the 200 fly (1:54.31), the 100 free (46.87) and the 100 fly (51.46), while Zaucha won the 100 back (53.54), 200 back (1:59.77) and the 200 IM (2:02.48).
Other UMass winners include, senior Mike Sabina (Avon, Mass.) in the 100 breast (58.82), freshman Ryan Fisher (Ventura, Calif.) in the 50 free (22.06) and Billy Brown (Fullerton, Calif.) in the 200 breast (2:10.13). Freshman diver Logan Alomar (Silver Spring, Md.) placed first in the three-meter diving event with a score of 297.30.
The Minutemen return to the pool on Saturday, Nov. 18, when they travel to Jamaica, N.Y., to take on St. John's at 1:00 p.m.
