AMHERST, Mass. (AP) - Dominic Banks' 27-yard interception return for a touchdown with 34 seconds to play clinched Delaware's 31-19 victory over Massachusetts Saturday.
Trailing 13-7 at halftime, Delaware (9-1, 6-1 Atlantic 10) took the lead for good on Craig Cummings' 2-yard touchdown run less than five minutes into the third quarter. Antwan Jenkins' 5-yard touchdown run and Scott Collins' 19-yard field goal in the fourth quarter gave Delaware a 24-13 lead.
Marcel Shipp pulled Massachusetts (6-4, 4-3) within 24-19 with a 1-yard touchdown run with 1:08 to play and the Minutemen got the ball back with 42 seconds left on their 20.
