AMHERST, Mass. -- Senior Chris Arsenault (Peabody, Mass.), senior Billy Brown (Fullerton, Calif.) and freshman Logan Alomar (Silver Spring, Md.) each won two events to lead the University of Massachusetts men's swimming and diving team to a 180-110 victory over the University of New Hampshire, this afternoon in the season opener at Joseph R. Rogers, Jr. Pool. UMass won 12 out of the 16 events.

Arsenault won the 200 fly (1:55.83) and the 100 free (46.85), while Brown won the 100 breast (1:00.48) and the 200 breast (2:10.97). Alomar placed first in the one-meter diving with a score of 245.40 and the three-meter diving with a score of 256.05.

Other winners include sophomore Rob Bellamy (Columbia, Md.) in the 200 back (2:00.00), freshman Pete Tawcynski (Holden, Mass.) in the 1000 free (10:19.69), sophomore Tommy Keane (Melrose, Mass.) in the 200 free (1:47.60), sophomore Ryan Zaucha (Auburn, Calif.) in the 100 back (54:16) and senior Mike Sabina (Avon, Mass.) in the 50 free (22.09). The 200 medley relay team of Zaucha, Brown, Arsenault and Bellamy finished first with a time of 1:37.27.

The Minutemen return to action on November 4, when they host Central Connecticut at 1:00 p.m., at Joseph R. Rogers, Jr. Pool.
