Men's Swimming & Diving Falls to Syracuse

The men?s swimming and diving team dropped a 204-131 decision to Syracuse on Saturday afternoon at Archbold Pool on the Syracuse campus. The Minutemen fall to 4-2 in dual meets on the year.
Junior Billy Brown (Fullerton, Calif.) set two pool records while claiming victories in both the 100y and 200y-breast. Brown first won the 200y in 2:05.77 and then took the 100y in 58.08. Senior Henry Turner (Melrose, Mass.) also picked up two event wins in the meet. Turner won the 100y-free in 47.22 and also took the 50y-free in 21.83. Senior Ed Hefferon (Straford, Conn.) won both the one and three-meter diving events. He scored a career-high 441.67 for 11 dives in the one-meter, the second-best score in school history, and he scored a 440.10 in the three-meter. Hefferon owns the school record in that event with a score of 506.90 posted two seasons ago.
The team returns to action next Saturday, December 11, at 3:00 p.m., against rival UConn.
