Jordan Jacobs joined the University of Massachusetts Sports Performance staff in Sept., 2014, and holds the role of assistant strength & conditioning coach for the men's lacrosse, women's soccer, men's and women's swimming programs and men's and women's track and field.
During Jacobs' tenure with the University of Massachusetts staff, he helped the progression of numerous student-athletes and teams to record-setting performances and conference championships, highlighted most recently by the men's lacrosse program's 2018 CAA Title and NCAA Tournament berth.
Jacobs joined the UMass staff after two years as the assistant strength and conditioning coach at the University of Arkansas, were he designed and implemented comprehensive strength and conditioning programs for men's and women's track and field, men's golf and women's swimming.
While at Arkansas, Jacobs worked with five men's track and field NCAA individual champions and two women's NCAA individual champions. The men's track and field program won the 2013 NCAA indoor track and field championship as well as three conference titles, and the women's squad claimed the 2013 SEC indoor crown, as well.
Before his tenure at Arkansas, Jacobs spent time with the University of Dayton strength and conditioning department and was an exercise physiologist for Kettering Sports Medicine.
Jacobs served as a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach for Western Michigan where he earned a Masters of Science in Exercise Physiology in 2010 and a interned with the University's football strength and conditioning, as well.
After completing his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from Kent State in 2007, Jacobs worked as a part of the school's Olympic sports strength and conditioning staff and also spent time with UNLV football strength and conditioning staff.
