Ryan Boudway was named Assistant Athletics Director for Annual Giving at the University of Massachusetts on August 24, 2015. In 2018, Boudway’s focus shifted primarily towards major giving (Assistant Athletic Director, Major Gifts) and in July of 2022 he was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director – Director of Development.
Boudway has been part of the Minutemen Club team that has experienced substantial growth during his time in Amherst. The department has seen a 372% increase from 2015-16 to 2021-22, up more than $6 million dollars annually. During the seven-year period, the Minutemen Club has generated over $25M in gifts.
Boudway has played a primary role in several successful fundraising initiatives.
Boudway came to Amherst after serving as Associate Director of Premium Seating and Parking at Notre Dame. During his time in South Bend, he handled the season ticket program for football, including the annual building fund (donations required for purchase of football season tickets), transfers and relocation requests. He was also in charge of all premium seating for both men's basketball and hockey, launching and administering two new in-venue premium clubs (Club Naimoli – basketball, O’Brien’s – hockey). He was also in charge of the allocation of parking passes for home football games and other athletic events on campus.
A Northampton, Mass. native, Boudway earned his bachelor's degree from Babson College and was a member of the basketball team. He earned his master's degree in sports management from Barry University. His wife Jeannette graduated from DePaul University where she was a two-year captain of the soccer team and is now an Associate Athletic Director and head women’s varsity soccer coach at Deerfield Academy. They have three children, Cal, Tyce and Uma.

- From 2018-2021 guided department efforts for UMass Gives, the annual day of giving for the university that saw tremendous growth under his leadership.
- 2018: 1,573 gifts, $165,672
- 2021: 2,646 gifts, $533,176
- Led efforts for Flagship Forward campaign during the 2020 pandemic year that reached 127% of goal.
- $662,000 ($520,000)
- Led efforts for the men’s and women’s cross country and track & field locker room renovations securing donations for naming opportunities for both locker rooms.
- Primary fundraiser for the hockey program. Under his leadership several donations for naming opportunities have been made, including:
- Head Coach’s office
- Assistant Coach’s office
- Director of Hockey Operations office
- Team Video Room
- Team Nutrition Area
- Team Lounge
- Assisted in efforts that successfully raised $2,000,000 for the complete renovation of the hockey locker room.
- Under his leadership Pond Club (hockey fundraising group) membership has grown 455% from 90 donors (2015) to currently over 500 members.
- Assisted in efforts to establish the UMass Hockey Excellence Endowment
- Led efforts that secured the lead gift for the Joanne and Jim Parker ’67 Boyden Performance Center (scheduled to open Spring 2023).
