Curry Earns Two Weekly Accolade

Monica Curry was named MAC Offensive Player of the Week and Top Drawer Soccer Player of the Week.
AMHERST, Mass. – Freshman Monica Curry of the University of Massachusetts women's soccer team earned two weekly accolades on Tuesday afternoon, as she was named the Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the Week and the Top Drawer Soccer Player of the Week. It marks the first weekly conferene honor of Curry's career.
As Massachusetts won 4-3 at Harvard last Monday, Curry played a significant role in the second-half comeback from a 3-0 deficit. Curry had five points with two goals and an assist in 72 minutes of action. The rookie scored her first career goal to tie the game at 3-3, before registering her first collegiate brace with the game-winning goal. Curry also took four shots with all on frame.
UMass prepares for a road match against Brown in Providence, Rhode Island, on Thursday, September 3, at 6 p.m. on ESPN+, before hosting UMass Lowell at Rudd Field on Sunday, September 6, at 1 p.m., on ESPN+ for Senior Day.
