A 2011 University of Massachusetts alumnus, Chris Tucci was promoted to Associate Athletic Director - Creative & Digital Strategy in June 2023.
In his current position, Tucci spearheads social media content creation for several Minutemen and Minutewomen programs, also assisting with photo and video capture. He is additionally responsible for all department email marketing campaigns, digital advertising, managing our #Content intern team and the creation of various other digital materials. Tucci also serves as the in-house graphic designer & photographer for Massachusetts Athletics creating captivating content for all 21 sports on campus.
Tucci previously served as UMass Athletics’ Assistant Athletic Director, Marketing, Creative & Digital Strategy from July 2021 to June 2023 and Director of Marketing & Digital Strategy from April 2018 to July 2021.
First returning to campus in March 2016, Tucci previously served under The Aspire Group in a marketing and ticket sales capacity. As manager of database marketing & analytics, he headed CRM tracking via Salesforce as well as a 3.6 digital advertising ROI during 2017-18. Tucci also had oversight of a team of ticket sales consultants.
He made two prior stops in the Big Ten Conference at Illinois (2015-16) and Purdue (2012-14). With the Illini, he was the Associate General Manager of Ticket Sales & Service, where Tucci worked with the football, basketball and volleyball programs. During his time at Illinois, he generated over $400,000 in ticket sales revenue for Illinois Football and created targeted e-mail campaigns that generated over $55,000 in revenue for Illinois Football.
Tucci climbed the ranks of the Purdue ticket sales team, setting department records in both volleyball (2014) and baseball (2013). His efforts grew the Football season ticket holder base for the first time since 2007, including welcoming over 1,500 new fans during the 2013 season. He was the lead revenue generator at Purdue, generating over $500,000 in ticket sales revenue during 2013.
The native of Mamaroneck, New York earned his dual-degree from UMass in sport management (B.S.) and finance & operations management (B.B.A.).
