    Volunteer Assistant Coach
Amin Danai is in his first season as Volunteer Assistant Coach at the University of Massachusetts. Danai comes to Amherst after graduating Magna Cum Laude as an English Writing major from St. Lawrence University in May, 2008. Danai played on the Saints[apos] varsity tennis team for four years at the 4-6 singles positions and 2-3 doubles spots. He was an ITA Scholar Athlete all four years along with being a captain during his junior and senior seasons. He was also Liberty League Honorable mention in singles (2007-08). Danai was awarded the Coach[apos]s Award his senior season. His family has an extensive background with the university. His father, Kourosh Danai, is a professor of Mechanical Engineering at UMass while his mother, Firuzeh Khorasanizadeh, is a Scholarship Coordinator in UMass[apos]s prestigious honors college, Commonwealth College. Danai has six years of tennis teaching experience, mostly under Judy Dixon. He resides in Amherst and is the husband of current women[apos]s tennis senior Laura Danai.
