Megan Manglaviti was promoted to the position of Assistant Director of Event Management & Facility Operations in June of 2023. Prior to her promotion, she was the Athletics Operations Assistant since joining the Massachusetts Athletic Department in August 2022. 

As the Athletics Operations Assistant, Manglaviti served as the event management lead for field hockey, men's soccer, women's basketball, tennis, softball, swimming and diving, track and field, men's lacrosse, women's lacrosse and baseball, while assisting with event operations for football, men's basketball and ice hockey. In her role, she supervised a student staff of 25, evaluated gameday plan logistics, while recommending and developing plans for improvement for future gameday operations, coordinated payments for assigned officials and table crew, submitted work orders as needed and managed key inventory. 

Prior to her arrival in Amherst, Manglaviti spent a summer interning at Normal CornBelters Stadium in Normal, Illinois. While there, she helped manage ticket sales and front office duties, provided ticket sales using CRM, Ticket Master and SquareUp, aided with promotional marketing and fan engagement, assured quality experience for all guests and communicated frequently and efficiently with group leaders and other employees. 

Manglaviti spent a year-and-a-half as an intern and Assistant to Head of Sports Operations at Lock Haven, where she served as the liaison to visiting teams, officials, and gameday operation entities, created and coordinated schedules for events and employees, compiled lists for coaches and athletes and ran the game clock and scoreboard for a variety of sports. 

She also was a lifeguard supervisor at Frances Slocum State Park in Pennsylvania. During her time there, Manglaviti conducted interviews and training sessions, supervised 12 lifeguards on staff, performed rescues and administered emergency care when needed, explained and enforced Bureau/Park policies, rules and regulations, and effectively communicated with the general public and DCNR personnel. She also created schedules, safe work environments and assured pool safety. 

Manglaviti received her Bachelor of Education in Health and Physical Education from Lock Haven in December of 2021, before earning her Master of Science in Sports Science: Sport Management in August of 2022. She took general education and Health and Physical Education courses at Luzerne County Community College, prior to transferring to Lock Haven.
