C.J. Martinez joined the University of Massachusetts baseball staff in Fall 2018 as volunteer assistant coach.
Martinez arrived in Amherst after a stint playing professional baseball with the Tempo Titans Praha of the Czech Republic's Extraliga.
Collegiately, Martinez was a four-year letter winner at Emory & Henry College in Emory, Virginia. While also playing for the Wasps, Martinez broke into coaching throughout North Carolina at Factory Baseball Institute (13U, 2015-17) as well as Warehouse Athletics (14U, 2017-18)
A native of Raleigh, North Carolina, Martinez graduated from Emory & Henry in 2018 with a degree in health & physical education.
