Varsity M Banquet Set For May 14

AMHERST, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts athletic department will hold its annual Varsity M Senior Awards Dinner on Friday, May 14, 2004. The event will take place in the Campus Center Auditorium beginning with a reception at 5:30 p.m., followed by the dinner at 6:30 p.m. The cost to attend is $35.00 per person.
Each senior student-athlete from UMass will be presented with their Varsity M Ring at the banquet. In addition, the 2003-2004 UMass Scholar Athletes of the Year will be announced.
Since the university's earliest days, both academics and extracurricular activities have been stressed as part of a total education. Sports, intercollegiate athletics and the associated qualities of leadership and character are all part of the fabric of UMass history. The Varsity M Club emphasizes this proud tradition of excellence in athletics by taking this opportunity to honor our senior varsity letter winners.
