Seguin Named Assistant AD For Business

AMHERST, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts has named Jaime Seguin as its new assistant athletic director for business and personnel, it was announced today by athletic director John McCutcheon. Seguin, who will begin her duties on April 12, 2004, comes to UMass from the University of Hartford, where she has worked for the last four years.
"We are extremely pleased that Jaime Seguin will be joining the staff of the UMass athletic department," said McCutcheon. "She will be an important part of our senior management team for years to come."
For the last three years, Seguin has served as Hartford's assistant athletic director for business and finance. She was in charge of developing, analyzing, monitoring and reconciling all of the athletic department's budgets, including 18 varsity programs. She also supervised the Hawks' women's golf program for the last three years. During her first year at Hartford, Seguin served as the business manager.
In addition to her duties at Hartford, Seguin served as assistant tournament director for the 2002 and 2003 America East Conference women's basketball championships.
Seguin earned her bachelor's degree in economics and psychology from Boston College in May of 1999, and went on to earn her master's degree in sport management from UMass in 2000.
