Gaffney Wins Opener With German Pro Team

UMass basketball alum Tony Gaffney, like Ricky Harris, picked up a win with his team, Telekom Baskets Bonn, in its season opener in the Beko Basketball League, a professional league in Germany. Gaffney started and scored seven points and grabbed four rebounds in a 80-76 victory over Bayern Munich. The former UMass star had the highlight of the game with a thunderous two-handed dunk in the second half that brought the crowd to its feet.
