The University of Massachusetts women's basketball team may not be playing in the NCAA tournament, but one of its players is headed to the Final Four.

Senior Cerie Mosgrove is one of only eight women's basketball players nationally to be selected to participate in the Women's 3-point Shooting Championship, which will be held March 31 at the University of Houston's Hofheinz Pavillion. She is part of a men's and women's total roster of 24 players who will compete in this year's State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-point championships, which is annually held in the Final Four city of the men's tournament. There are eight women three-point shooters, eight men three-point shooters, and eight dunkers. The event will be televised across the country on ESPN2 from 9 - 11 p.m.
