UMass alum Gary Forbes is close to earning a spot with the Denver Nuggets for the regular-season in the NBA. He had a preseason-best 25 points in the team's exhibition finale, a 144-106 win over Phoenix. Read more about the game in the following recaps: Colorado Springs Gazette, TSN.
