Community Salute
The UMass Community Salute program, presented by the Massachusetts State Lottery, is designed to honor individuals who have made a significant and positive impact in the UMass and greater Western Mass communities.
The Community Salute plaque is presented to individuals who, through their dedicated commitment and humanitarian spirit, have made exceptional and lasting contributions to our community. During the final five UMass hockey home games, the Minutemen and their fans will salute the exemplary efforts of these individuals during special in-game presentations.
The Massachusetts State Lottery is proud to present the UMass Community Salute program. Last year, the Lottery gave back over $1.067 billion to the Commonwealth to support all 351 cities and towns. Examples of how these funds are utilized include public safety staffing and equipment, snow removal, local road improvements, programs for seniors, and parks and recreation projects and services.
Nominations for the UMass Community Salute can be mailed to the following address or submitted in the online form below. All nominees must be 18 years of age or older.
