Before UMass: Four-year letterwinner at Bishop Hendricken helping the Hawks to four Rhode Island State Championships (2000-2004) ... earned all-state honors seven times in his career ... named team captain his senior season ... swam the 100 freestyle (48.74), 200 freestyle (1:46.80), 100 butterfly (52.97), and the 200 individual medley (1:59.24) during his senior campaign.
