AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts senior runner Lara Mannes Diaz de Cerio has been named the Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.
At the UMass Ken O'Brien Minutemen Invitational on Saturday, senior Lara Mannes Diaz de Cerio helped lead Massachusetts to a dominant victory where the Minutewomen scored 18 points. Mannes Diaz de Cerio paced the 4k event with a winning time of 13:46.8, crossing the finish line a full six seconds before second place, and 17 seconds before the next non-UMass athlete.
