Massachusetts Cross Country Announces 2026 Schedule

AMHERST, Mass. – The University of Massachusetts cross country program has announced its 2026 competition schedule for its second season in the Mid-American Conference. The Minutemen and Minutewomen will open the upcoming season with their annual UMass Ken O'Brien Minuteman Invitational on Saturday, September 5 at the UMass Cross Country Course.
The programs will return to action on September 19 as they travel to Hanover, N.H. for the Maribel Sanchez Souther Memorial Invitational.
A busy month of October kicks off on Friday October 2, as both teams are set to compete at the Paul Short Invitational in Bethlehem, Penn., before traveling to Hopkinton, N.H. on October 10 for the NEICAAA Championships. The following week UMass travels to Farmingdale, N.Y. to compete in the ECAC/IC4A Championships on October 17, before rounding out the month with the MAC Championships on October 30, hosted by Western Michigan in Kalamazoo, Mich.
Massachusetts continues its championship season at the NCAA Northeast Regional Championships on Friday, November 13, at Bethpage State Park in Farmingdale, N.Y.
