Massachusetts Cross Country Announces 2024 Schedule

AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts cross country has revealed its 2024 schedule, which will commence with the annual Ken O'Brien Minuteman Invitational on Saturday, August 31, at the UMass Cross Country Course.
The teams will then have three weeks of training before heading to the Ted Owens Invitational, hosted by Central Connecticut at Stanley Quarter Park on Saturday, September 21, in New Britain, Connecticut.
UMass will open October with a trip to the historic Paul Short Run on Saturday, October 5. The event is held annually on the campus of Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
The following weekend, the squads will head north to Hopkinton, New Hampshire and the Hopkinton Fairgrounds for the New England Championships on Saturday, October 12.
Six days later, UMass will travel to the Bronx for the ECAC and IC4A Championships at Van Cortlandt Park on Friday, October 18. The teams will then wrap up the month with the CCSU Mini Meet on Friday, October 25, the second trip to Stanley Quarter Park of the season.
The Atlantic 10 Championships are scheduled for Saturday, November 2, in Mechanicsville, Virginia. It will mark the final trip to the A-10 championship meet for the Minutemen and Minutewomen, who are set to join the MAC in 2025.
UMass will cap its schedule with a return to Hopkinton Fairgrounds in New Hampshire for the NCAA Northeast Regional Championships on Friday, November 15.
