Pavissich Earns MAC Singles Player Of The Week

Martina Pavissich tabbed the first weekly honor of her career.
AMHERST, Mass. – Sophomore Martina Pavissich of the University of Massachusetts tennis team was named the Mid-American Conference Singles Player of the Week. It marks the first career weekly award for Pavissich.
As the Minutewomen went 2-0 on the week, Martina Pavissich went 2-0 in singles action. At Syracuse, Pavissich clinched the 4-3 victory for UMass with a three-set victory, 5-7, 7-6(3), 7-6(5) at court No. 3. Her match clinching point helped Massachusetts to its first ever win over an ACC opponent. The sophomore picked up a point at No. 2 singles over Le Moyne on Sunday, winning 6-0, 6-2.
Massachusetts travels to Boston, Massachusetts, on Saturday, February 14 for a 3 p.m. match at Boston University. UMass then returns home to take on Hofstra on Sunday, February 15, at 3 p.m.
