Tennis Announces 2026 Spring Schedule

The Minutewomen will host 11 home dual matches.
AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts women's tennis announced a competitive slate for the Spring 2026 season on Friday afternoon. The regular season features 11 dual matches that will be played either indoors at the Bay Road Tennis Club or outdoors at the Mullins Tennis Courts, while opening the year with a matchup on the road against Bryant.
With its first season in the Mid-American Conference, Massachusetts will play eight league matches. UMass will host Bowling Green, Eastern Michigan, Northern Illinois and Buffalo, while traveling to Miami (OH), Ball State, Western Michigan and Toledo throughout the season.
The Minutewomen return five members of the 2024-25 team, including graduate student Renata Farima, senior Ella Faessler, junior Amelia Tye and sophomores Owethu Makhanya and Martina Pavissich. Four newcomers joined the UMass squad this season, adding junior transfer Amanda de Oliveira and welcoming freshmen Fiona Ao, Duru Baycan and Madara Markevica.
Massachusetts finished the 2024-25 year with a 12-7 overall record, including a 4-0 record in the Atlantic 10 Conference, while completing its home schedule with a 7-2 record.
UMass reached the A-10 semifinals for the ninth time in program history and fourth time with Juancarlos Nunez at the helm.
During the A-10 Tournament, the No. 2-seeded Minutewomen received a bye into the quarterfinals, downing No. 7 Rhode Island, 4-1, to advance to the semifinals. The team fell to No. 3 Richmond, 4-0, in the round, to close out the season.
