Catherwood Collects Second MAC Cross Country Runner Of The Week Honor

AMHERST, Mass. – Massachusetts men's cross country junior Collin Catherwood has been selected as the MAC Cross Country Runnr of the Week for the second time this season, the Mid-American Conference office announced on Tuesday. The honor comes after Catherwood's first-place finish at the Maribel Sanchez Souther Memorial Invitational this past weekend.
Catherwood posted his second individual win in as many meets to start the 2025 season, taking first out of 57 runners. The Central Valley, N.Y., native finished 13.2 seconds ahead of the next-closest competitor with a time of 24:34.90 in the 8K and helped the Minutemen finish second (43 points) in the team scoring, racing against Northeastern (35), Dartmouth (50) and Vermont (94).
