Minutewomen Secure Commanding 6-0 Shutout Over Dartmouth

AMHERST, Mass. -- Massachusetts (2-2) secured a commanding 6-0 shutout victory over Dartmouth (0-12 on Sunday at Gladchuk Field Hockey Complex. The Minutewomen recorded their highest single-game goal total since Sept. 16, 2022, dominating in all facets for the shutout win.
Freshman Elani Sherwood and Senior Dempsey Campbell highlighted the afternoon, each recording two goals to power the Minutewomen offensively. Sherwood tallied her two goals on a team-high six shots, making it three goals for the young England native on the weekend. Campbell earned her sixth point in the last two games, scoring two goals just one minute and 19 seconds apart to complete an all-around offensive weekend.
Sophomore Kristy Leonard broke the ice early in the afternoon, scoring her first goal of the season and second of her Minutewomen career. Senior Hannah de Gast and Grad Student Claire Danahy were catalysts in the midfield each recording a pair of assists on the afternoon.
Grad Student Paula Lorenzini recorded five shots on goal and an assist, continuing to be a force both defensively and in attack penalty corners.
