Minutewomen Take Down The Terriers In Boston

BOSTON, Mass. -- Massachusetts (3-2) scored early and often, claiming a 5-3 victory over Boston University (2-3) on Friday at New Balance Field. The Minutewomen spread the wealth on the scoresheet as five different players scored, powering another strong offensive outing.
Freshman Elani Sherwood continued a hot stretch of form scoring one goal and tallying two assists on the day. Sherwood has now scored four goals in her last three games. The Surbiton, England native leads the team with 10 points through her first five games with the Minutewomen.
Senior Dempsey Campbell's form also remained strong, scoring a goal and recording two shots on net. Campbell sits second on the squad with nine points, recording three goal and three assists through five games.Graduate Student Claire Danahy enjoyed a stellar performance on her birthday, tallying both a goal and an assist on the evening. The Chelmsford, Mass. native has been a key facilitator, leading the team with four assists to this point in the season.
Graduate Student Paula Lorenzini made her impact on both sides of the field, converting her second penalty corner goal of the season while also earning a defensive save. Junior Gabrielle Bankenstein performed well up front, scoring the game's opening goal, her second of the season.
