Curry Named Atlantic 10 Offensive Player of the Week

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Graduate student midfielder Ella Curry was named the Atlantic 10 Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league on Monday afternoon. It marks the second weekly award for Curry, while marking the first A-10 Offensive Player of the Week accolade in her career.

The Minutewomen went 2-0 on the week, defeating Fordham, 4-2, and Rhode Island, 2-1. Curry competed for 160 minutes and tallied five points with one goal and three assists. She also had two shots, both on target. Against Fordham, the graduate student registered two assists on the day for two points, while notching her second goal of the season and an assist against Rhode Island on Sunday for three points. Curry's two shots on goal came against Rhode Island.

Massachusetts will hit the road for two league games, beginning with a trip to Washington, D.C., on Thursday, October 3, to face George Washington at 3 p.m. The Minutewomen then head to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, for a matchup with Saint Joseph's on Sunday, October 6, at 1 p.m. Both contests will be streamed on ESPN+.
