Meet Primer
After being idle since the season opener on August 31, the Minutewomen will return to action this Saturday in New Britain, Connecticut for the 5K Ted Owens Invitational at Stanley Quarter Park. This will mark the first of two trips to New Britain that UMass will make this season as the squad will return to Stanley Quarter Park for the CCSU Mini Meet on Friday, Oct. 25. The Minutewomen began the year with a first place team finish at the Ken O'Brien Minuteman Invitational and saw freshman Klara Hansen take second overall in her collegiate debut en route to Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week recognition the following Monday. Seniors Eugenia Fairhurst and Sydney Adams both finished in the scoring in third and fourth overall, while freshman Kaylie Dalgar (fifth) earned a spot in the UMass top-five in her first collegiate race. Sophomore Anna McEhlinney completed the scoring for the Minutewomen in ninth overall and fifth for the team.
